is finished and I love it.

bay310509 011.jpgI am getting lots of wear out of this. It is so comfy to wear. Lots of lovely compliments aswell.

My latest sock

koigu280609.jpgThis is Koigu yarn and the first tiem I have knitted with it. I am liking the finish and well what can you say about the colours other than "gorgeous".

Since finishing Bay I have been knitting a desing from Kim's book Nectar .

Dawn

I think it will look better once the back neck edging is done and the ends all sewn in. I had origianlly intended wearing this to Henley Royal Regatta on Wednesday but if this weather holds up I won't be needing a woolly!

Sunny Saturday

I managed to get out in the garden today to take a photo of Bay.

bay020509 002.jpg

This is how Bay is looking. When this photo was taken I just had the neck to finish knitting and the sewing up. I have since finishd the neck and sewn the 2 side seams. Next will be the sleeves. I think Bay should be ready for a wash by Monday. I thought I had buttons but when I look I only have 6. I shall have to have a look in Camp Hopsons tomorrow.

Enjoy the long week-end.

Not quite

I have been chatting on the phone this evening so little progress with Bay's front. There is still time yet!

I have just found my camera. Funny how it turns up once I have confessed to losing it. It has been missing since last Friday!

 I will be finished tomorrow!

Bay

Nearly there. Half a front to go which I should be able to get done this evening. Would like to get the neck done aswell. Need to look for buttons so I know whether I need to buy any at the week-end. I am hoping for another sunny week-end so I can get the winder out and the swift up for the sock club yarn. Need to get these done before the end of May. Socks are taking a back seat at the moment. April has been Bay month, May will be the month of the "Mystery Blanket". Happy knitting. X

Back of Bay

I have not counted the number of hours knitting here but let's say I have surprised myself! Once I get going on stocking stitch there is no stopping me. I was sat in Caffe Nero yesterday knitting away and a lady said to me "I am addicted to knitting aswell but I don't bring mine out with me"! I always have knitting with me!

arrived today with this.

The next lot of sock yarn from the Get Knitted sock club. I took this photo outside this afternoon when we had some sunshine! Lovely colours once again. Guess the winder will need to come out but first I must finish the blue socks!

Talking of blue socks Daivd and I have been to the library this evening to listen to Pippa Greenwood. Pippa was speaking as part of the Feel good fortnight program being run by West Berkshire Council. Pippa has featured in BBC's Gardeners' Question Time, Gardener's World and The Daily Mirror. Her talk was based around Great Green Veg - growing your own great, tasty vegetables to keep both you and your garden fit. We bought a copy of one of her books.

As I was inspired to grow my own veg a sock was growing

I had forgotten how quickly my knitting grows once I get going on stocking stitch.

Left front of Bay

I am really enjoying knitting this. I am using the Memphis shade and although my needles are going blue my hands appear to remain blue free unlike when using Nashville!

Progress on a sock aswell - all in 24 hours!

A Sock

Well I surprised myself here with how quickly I managed to get this sock finished. A day - that must surely be a record for me.

bluesock150409.jpgAnd still no yarn from Get Knitted so on to sock number 2. I think it is about time a fresh garment was on the needles to get my mojo for bigger projects back.

I have a box ready and waiting containing pattern, needles and yarn. The lucky pattern is

Bay

A design from Kim Hargreaves latest book Breeze. I shall be casting on later this evening and I have a target of 2 weeks to knit. Watch me!

In the absence of my sock club yarn I chose some Regia.

Lovely and soft. The yarn has 20% silk in.

Mustn't forget those blanket squares.

Happy Knitting.

Moving....

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Yes I am on the move, around the house that is. We are rearranging our rooms which involves moving the craft room. Consequently the computer is set up in temporary accommodation at the moment and it appears it cannot see the camera so no photo's! My Laendler socks are finished and before I have received the next lot of yarn.

Can the same be said at the end of April of my squares for the Mystery Blanket. I do hope so.

Happy Easter.
