What better way to start the new year than to start a new project and to have some company too!
Yes I am joining Polly in knitting the walkaway socks.
I have some Lang sock yarn that is just waiting to be knitted up and here it is:

Yes there is a second knit along - the peace shawl .
Polly has started but I wanted to finish my Debbie Bliss jumper first. I hope to be joining Polly soon although judging by her progress I will be playing catch up! There is a strong possibility that Polly will have finished before I even cast on.
Here is my yarn and needles to show I am preparing although I do have to wind the yarn in to a ball first - at present it is in a large hank. Perhaps David, my husband, can help me out here whilst watching a film sometime.

Over the christmas break I finished my first booga bag. It took a fair few washes for it to felt but here are before and after pictures:

and there I thought that you had led me up the garden path with the peace shawl only to abandon me.... (sniff).. I haven't looked at the WAS pattern in ages, must dig it out. Happy New Year !
