I have only knitted a few pairs of socks but have been very taken by the way the sock yarn produces the array of multi-colour rings that it does straight off the ball of yarn.
Well all my socks too date have been colourful but a little quiz has told me

I shall not be giving up my stripey socks though - I may be pure but I love colour too! I do have some plain sock yarn though and I could be tempted but first please let me finish those Walking Away Socks.
I like your journal and seeing all your lovely works in progress. I'm trying to make Birch but am finding the first few rows quite hard. Your Elfin looks gorgeous. BTW, I hear the Rowan store in Oxford has closed down.
I'm with you, I like colourful socks too, you feel you are making progress as the stripes appear! Have you tried Lorna's Laces, that is my very favourite sock wool, colours are more random and can take you by surprise.....or they can be very subtle.

Just done the sock quiz - I like blue and I am apparently a fellow who prefers pubs to bars - you learn something every day....
