A walk in the park

Well the day started off dry so after having a bite to eat David and I had a walk along the canal and in to the park.

I was wearing Lockwood so David took the opportunity of a photo for the site.

It is such a warm jumper and now that we are in October one needs their woolly jumpers.

This week has been quite productive in various ways. I had 2 visits to the physio and each time I go I get more mobile so it is worth it. Productivity does of course include the knitting and I am well on my way with the colinette coat having finished the back and both fronts and half a sleeve. I do think the fur trim is going to take a while though as it is needed along the bottom of the back, up and down both fronts and round the back of the neck.

Here is a close up of the back - I just love the colours. The pieces are quite big so I will probably wait until they are sewn together before photographing again.

I should certainly make a start on the trim this week.

I then need to start thinking about what next....

Tomorrow I get to teach a new knitter. Whilst I have been off my assistant, Jennie, has been to visit me at home several times and seen my knitting in progress and loved it so much she took herself off in to Winchester yesterday bought a knitting pattern and some yarn and is coming round tomorrow to get started.

The last friend I taught gave up after 6 months so I hope Jennie stays with it.

Jennie is South African and her family run several craft shops back home so they will be chuffed to bits that she is finally having a go at a craft.

So we have another new knitter joining us.
