KNIT IN AT STARBUCKS

A couple of weeks ago I posted about my assistant, Jennie, being taken by all my knitting adventures and deciding she wants to take it up.

So one evening we took over my kitchen to get Jennie started but what she omitted to tell me was that actually she could knit - she just needed a gentle reminder about her knits and her purls. Once we had covered that Jennie was away and is knitting herself a jumper in a bramble stitch pattern.

We plan to make sure we leave the office on time at least one night a week and take ourselves off down to Starbucks where we have a Venti Skinny Cappuccino and sit and knit for an hour.

Jennies boyfriend, David, is off on a trip to the North Pole early 2005 and my aim is to get Jennie to knit him a pair of socks for his trip. I have the pattern, the yarn and the needles all ready.

I shall take my once named Step Out In Style Socks with me tomorrow which I am renaming my sailing socks! I love the colour of the Lorna's Laces, it is Wisteria but it just doesn't work with the pattern for the Step Out In Style Socks so I am doing stocking stitch instead.

All the other projects I have on the go at the moment have gotten a bit big to travel around and we all know how portable socks are.

Just to show you where I am I bring you SAILING SOCK......

Your Lorna's Laces is a gorgeous colour - I'm trying to ignore the fact that I could get some of my very own from Get Knitted but it's getting harder ;0)

Your finished coat is also absolutely beautiful, we need a picture of you wearing it to get the full effect though !
