Keeping me warm

Last night I went to a Gala Dinner with the Bank. It was at Runnymede Hotel and Spa.

Party Time

The dinner was a black tie do so I put on my posh frock and so as not to get too chilly I took birch along.

Not bad for 1am this morning!

I had lots of lovely comments regarding Birch and even people asking if I "knitted to order"!

I have a second Gala Dinner in a couple of weeks - maybe I need a new shawl for that one - A Fiber Trends Shawl.

Decisions, decisions.

This week has seen 2 new knitting books added to me collection.

The first being Knitter’s Stash and the second For the Love of Knitting.

I haven't had a chance to have a good look through but from initial glances they both look to have some good knitting content in.

Off to mattress stitch Wildfell.

Happy Knitting

You look jolly good for 1.00a.m. - I should have been nodding off.....I have just finished the Fibre Trends Lead Shawl - could bring to show you next time I see you. It took me a while to do and understand the pattern, but then I gave up on Birch, you could probably do this one standing on your head..... I didn't use KSH though.

That should of course have read Leaf Shawl - can't think straight and it is only 10.45......

Don't you just look glam!

For the love of knitting is fab, I gave it to Jacinta for Christmas but just had to have a peek before giving it to her. The pictures of the old patterns are just lovely. A.x

Birch looks great with the black dress. It must be warm too. The Jane jacket looks smart as well as handy. Hope you enjoyed Brussels. It's wonderful for a weekend break.

Anna, the shawl and silky frock look super together. I always wondered what the occasion for a triangular shawl was and now I know.
