With a little help from my friends

I have finished knitting all the pieces for Wildfell. I had a hiccup with the pattern for the sleeves but after chatting it through with a couple of Rowanettes and emailing Jane Ellison I got to grips with them.

Here is a pile of knitted pieces waiting to be sewn together.

Wildfell pieces

This is one long cardigan so lots of mattress stitch but I am kind of feeling like it will be worth it. I have really got to like Wildfell whilst I have been knitting her.

Life is very busy at the moment so my knitting time has been light.

I was away last week-end in Brussels - my first trip on the Eurostar. This was an office trip and we had fun! Late nights did of course feature! Jane went to Brussels - she kept me warm. This cardigan is from A Yorkshire fable and is knitted in Rowan Yorkshire Tweed.

Here are some more shots of Brussels.

I cast on a pair of socks to take with me - a good portable project that doesn't take up much room in ones luggage and is light to carry around whilst doing the tourist bit.

I am knitting these in Mini Ringels 4 ply shade 05211 Blue Sea.

Tomorrow I am off to a Gala Dinner and I think "Birch" is going to make her debut around my shoulders - the perfect accessory for a black dress.

Hi Anna

Can't wait to see it sewn up! Seems every time I visit here, you've finished another cardigan or jumper! Is this 'light' knitting?

Brussels is something that we keep meaning to do (how close can you get to eurostar? We're 20 mins away!) but haven't go around to yet.

Dawn :)

The latest large bailout, purportedly of Portugal, now appears to include many billions exclusively for the use of the Portugese banks, who themselves in turn are in debt to many foreign banks. Who is this bailout aimed at exactly, the Portugese people or the international banking system?

Again - it's once more with the bank bailouts! Now Greece is talking about negotiating better terms and so Ireland wants to get in on the act too. This is all for the benefit of the banks - when do the authorities do anything for the benefit for we the people?

I must say, its worth it!,i'llcheck back asap, cheers

I just wanted to comment and say that I really enjoyed reading your blog post here. It was very informative and I also digg the way you write! Keep it up and I’ll be back to read more in the future

Wow! Thank you! I permanently needed to write on my blog something like that. Can I implement a fragment of your post to my website?
