Oh My....

Another week gone. I am sure they are getting faster.

Thank-you for your kind emails about my dad - he is still in hospital but doing ok.

I have done a little knitting this week amongst other things.

I finished sewing up Wildfell and wore it to work on Friday. My friends at work thought it beautiful. A pity Kocharan has been discontinued I could have knitted a second in a different colourway.

I think I may contact Jane Ellison to see what she would recommend using instead.

My other news is that I have a new knitting lamp which I am really pleased with. It is an OTT- LITE and brings the power of natural daylight indoors! I have the Arial 2 in 1 lamp.

One could sit all day and night knitting under this - if only!

Whilst it is stil very very cold and forecast minus 7 for this evening there are lots of spring yarns around. Debbie Bliss's new book and yarn Cathay looks rather promising. I have yet to see the yarn in flesh but suspect I will be easily tempted. There are some gorgeous colours available.

Talking of Debbie Bliss I received my welcome gift this week to "The Club" - 4 balls of Alpaca Silk in a gorgeous wine colour to knit a beret and cravat. If you would like to see the said garments modelled hop over to Knitter Natter and see Amelia.

Happy Knitting.

That is two gorgeous coats you have knitted! Let us know what Designer Yarns come up with as a substitute. I was looking at Noro in JL's, nothing I saw was right, Iro and Transitions too thick. Possibly Blossom? Or Kureyon used with a strand of Aran something? Or used double - different colours?

Just gorgeous Anna - thanks for sharing. Yes do let us know what Designer Yarns come up with as a substitute. I am very tempted myself.

Your "Wildfell" is simply Gorgeous!
