BOUNCING BACK

They say when the going gets rough the tough just get tougher - the last few weeks have been rough. However I am now bouncing back and have managed to get things back under control - well I think so anyway!

My dad is still in hospital but he is slowly geting a little more mobile - lets hope there are no more set backs.

This week-end has been beautiful here in Berkshire with the sun shining.

I have over the last few weeks managed to acquire many of the new season knitting books from Rowan, Jaeger and Debbie Bliss.

I love the new Classic Yarns from Rowan and I love the Debbie Bliss Cathay. So how does one decide what to cast on when one wants to begin a new project on a sunny afternoon!

I decided up on this

Whitney

This is from the new Classic Range by Rowan. Whitney is featured in Classic Cafe and is knitted in Cashsoft Dk which has 10% cashmere in and I have to say is just beautiful to knit with. I have cast on and begun the rib for the back. I am using shade 508 otherwise known as Ballad Blue and I have the remaining 9 balls sat close by.

Progress so far

My latest socks are coming along well too.

Good to have you back, Anna. Whitney is on my list too - it is a lovely yarn to knit with. I'm glad your Mum has kept you up to date with knitting stuff! Hope your father continues to improve, and gets more mobile.

I thought it was when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping.....

Hi Anna
So lovely to see you back in the land of knitting! Glad too that your Dad is making good progress.
I also love the Whitney cardigan it is on my wish list.
Hope it won't be long 'til we can meet up.
Love Jacinta x

Hi Anna

Glad to hear your Dad's on the mend, my father's been ill recently too so I know how difficult it is. I haven't seen the new books yet tho' I have seen some of the yarns and they're lovely - wish they had a wider colour range though. Nvere mind, I'm sure I'll find something that takes my fancy.

It's good to see that your Dad is improving.

Whitney is such a classic & beautiful cardigan. What a lovly color. I have not felt that yarn yet...but I can't wait to!

Hi Anna - Hope all's well with you - we're back from India - do give us an update on what's happening with you. Is you Dad ok?

Jill

Hi Anna

I'm hoping that things are improving for you.

Whitney is lovely, on my (long) wishlist! Hopefully, Jill will have knitted this when she gets back from her week away. She was planning on taking a lot of knitting with her!

I've got something on the needles in cashsoft too (try the cashcotton, a different knit, but that's wonderful), based on Hamilton.

Take care

Dawn
