Whitney is doing grand - reminds me of my younger days. I was a great fan of Whitney Houston! Oh well......

Front of Whitney, the colour in the photo of the back did not look the "biz" so it got deleted

The back, the left front and 2 sleeves are finished. So the right front to knit and away we go - mattress stitch here we come. The sleeves seem a little long but I won't know for sure until it is all sewn together.

I also have a pair of socks on the go at present and these have travelled well over the last couple of months - London, Dublin and Lisbon!

On the hotel balcony in Lisbon, the weather was gorgeous for April

I even let my nephew, Bradley, have a little play with my knitting. We took ourselves off to Starbucks on Sunday afternoon. He is fascinated by it all and keeps telling his mum he wants to knit. He was in KFC in Reading one day and saw some people knitting and promptly told his mum "Nanna does that and I want to" (All my nephews call me Nanna - the eldest started it and the rest just followed suit). Maybe one day I will get him going on his own wee project - if it keeps him sitting still for more than 10 seconds the family will thank me.

Will Bradley become a knitter?

I have decided to call these socks "Candy Socks" - not sure why because I don't like the stuff - it must be something to do with the girly colours.

Candy Sock / Girly Sock

I have just turned the heel on the second sock.

I am off to cast on the right front for Whitney so that I can get it finished and cast on Bonbon from the Classic Range by Rowan.

Bonbon

This is from the latest book, Classic Holiday, and is knitted in Cashcotton DK. I am going to use shade 606 quartz which is a purply shade, I think.

I have a knitting packed week-end planned so roll on Saturday.

Take care everyone and happy knitting.

I have been working on Plaza from Classic Cafe and I love this yarn. The only thing is that I wonder if it will be a little hot for the Summer. I will probably use it more during the Winter months being that the Summers are so hot and humid here.
