Progress

Ruffle now has her 2 fronts so I could if I wish sew them to the back and begin those "ruffles".

However I chose to cast on a sleeve instead! Maybe tomorrow......

I am pleased with this knit though and think progress is pretty swift as well when I finally sit myself down to do some quality knitting. At the moment I am spending quite a bit of time knitting in the garden with the radio on - chores will get done when weather cools down!

I went shopping in Windsor yesterday afternoon with my friend Annie and what did I see in one of the smalll boutiques but a cardi just like Ruffle - the colour was almost identical too to what I am knitting her in - Sea Foam. It brought a smile to my face. Must finish her so I can wear her.

This week-end sees a big race meet at Newbury Racecourse.

Ascot's Diamond Weekend is one of the highlights of the social and sporting calendar. This year, due to the refurbishment of Ascot Racecourse, the weekend is being hosted by Newbury Racecourse in West Berkshire.

So racegoers are expected to don their glad rags and bring the whole spirit of Ascot down the M4 and into Newbury.

Should I or shouldn't I join in tomorrow afternoon? A cool glass of wine whilst watching the horses race on a sunny Friday afternoon......

Shame I won't have Ruffle to wear - another time!

It is also far too warm to wear my

Perhaps I should save them for the The Hennessy weekend!

I purchased Simply Knitting today and just to let you know I won't be rushing out and buying what they talk about under Beinspired this month. That reminds me I haven't shown you a picture of my new knitting bag courtesy of the July issue of Simply Knitting. Under the Beinspired section - "bag yourself a bag long enough for your needles from Per Una at Marks & Spencers". I will photograph tomorrow. A thought - maybe my bag would like to come along to the races!

Perhaps you could do a little sewing up and be doing the ruffles at the same time as the sleeve? Then you could have something slightly more difficult to knit or something mindless....
