Ruffle rolls on.....

What a beautiful day - sunshine throughout.

I was lucky enough to have lunch by the Kennet & Avon Canal

I have now finished the back of Ruffle knitting some 6500+ stitches but I have to say when you are sat quietly knitting it does not feel like this number. It must be that cashcotton 4ply flying off the needles.

Back of Ruffle

I have started the left front but no pictures to show today.

I mentioned Simply Knitting – that magazine has caused me to make a couple of purchases semi knitting related but ones I probably wouldn’t have made if I hadn’t seen them in the magazine.

First from the June issue I had to take a trip to Laura Ashley to purchase one of these

This is for my rosewood needles. I did visit on a 10% off week-end though so ….

Then the July issue convinced me I needed to “take my knitting outside and relax on these comfy cushions” so I had to take a trip to Homebase. I returned with two – Homebase refer to them as raspberry but I would say pink. The magazine says they are £15 however I paid £7.99 so nearly 2 for the price of 1 – a bargain. Maybe not….

The cushions will get there use though as I shall be off work for most of August whilst I recover from an operation and what better way to convalesce than sit in the garden on a comfy cushion knitting. I am of course assuming that August will be dry and sunny and not wet and windy.

These are all featured under the Beinspired section – I hope I can be restrained when the August issue comes out.

I heard mention on the radio today that Friday is St Swithins day so we have to hope that it doesn't rain on Friday so we do not 40 days of rain!

Well, the cushions certainly match the knitting-needle holder.....hope you get lots of use out of them ! Good luck with the ruffles - I did Martha in 4 ply cash-soft, that seemed to go quite quickly though no ruffles!

Hi Anna
So good to see you posting again.
I do hope that the op goes well, will we be seeing you at Liberty before then, I hope so?!

Do you enjoy knitting with the 4 ply cash cotton? What size needles are you on? I am knitting Plaza with the DK Cash Soft and I love it, but I might enjoy the 4 ply. I'll have to try some this fall.

Some great techniques on how to sleep. It would have been nice if I would have known these back in the day, it would've been a completely different result.

That makes sense to me but does this?

The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.
